To remind yourself that you can't always keep the dog from licking the furniture.
You can't always get your laundry done when you need to.
You can't always have super-productive writing days.
You can't always make it through an awkward conversation.
You can't always do everything right.
And you don't have to.
I forget so often that His grace is sufficient for me. That His love is all I need. I try too hard, I try too little, I mess up. In the long run, all that matters is that I lived for Him. And He makes beauty out of broken things.
For the Father loves us so, so much. How can we forget a love like that? A love greater than the world has ever known. The love of a Father for His child. The love of the Savior whose wounds have paid my ransom. The adopted child taken in by the King. Our Father is so very fond of us.
